I've been thinking about Rowan Hellebrand and Hellebrand Survey, his occult team, a lot recently. After finishing Cardinal Machines book 6, I'll be moving on to a nearly finished draft of the 3rd book in this urban fantasy series, about 2 worlds -- one spectral, and one human -- that can sometimes overlap in the most alarming of ways.
I miss Rowan, the gifted young ghost hunter, my most prickly hero, and I miss Sixtine and her oddball gift for that rarified skill: spirit photography. Most of all, I miss the rich interplay of the Survey team, a true ensemble cast, and the haunting stories themselves.
I enjoyed their interplay as a team very much.
